 Barbie and the Rockers: Out of this World (1987)

Barbie's rock band has just completed a successful World Tour and decides to perform one last concert in Space, while orbiting the earth, to promote world peace.

       Barbie and The Sensations: Rockin' Back to Earth (1990)         

                                                    
                                   

After the first great concert for peace in space, Barbie and her band The Rockers are going to come back home. During the trip back to earth, on the space shuttle, they start to play a song ("Rockin Back"), few seconds later a "time warp" tunnel is forming in front of the Shuttle. Then they see there are a lot of clocks going backward inside the tunnel, at the end of that, the Shuttle lands on a strange airport. After the landing they meet Dr. Merrishaw (probably an astronomer engineer) and his daughter Kim, and learn they are in the year 1959, and then brings them around the city to have a look change. At the end, after a performance at Cape Canaveral, Dr. Merrishaw helps Barbie and the Rockers return to their time. Back in the present, they have a big concert, where Barbie is reunited with an adult Kim and meets her daughter Megan.

                                           Barbie in the Nutcracker (2001)

                                                   

The story of Barbie and Kelly jumps into the story of Clara but we then enter the fantasy land of Clara's dream. In Clara's dream, mice emerge from the wainscoting at night whilst Clara is sleeping and start fighting over food. The broken wooden nutcracker comes to life and starts fighting with the mice and in particular the Mouse King (Tim Curry). Barbie ... oops Clara ... wakes up and comes to the Nutcracker's rescue, but the Mouse King uses his magical powers to shrink Barbie down to the same size as the nutcracker and the mice. Apparently, only the Sugarplum Princess can restore Clara back to her normal size, so Barbie and Ken ... oops again, the Nutcracker ... enters through the mouse hole into a magical kingdom where the Mouse King rules.

                                Barbie as Rapunzel (2002)

One day, Rapunzel discovers an underground basement underneath her room, containing amongst other things a hairbrush which is a gift from her supposedly dead parents. The basement seems to lead to an underground secret passage that leads to the outside where there is a quaint little village and an impressive Disneyland-like castle. In the castle gardens, she rescues one of Prince Stefan's sisters and gets to meet Stefan. Needless to say, they are both attracted to each other. Unfortunately, Gothel's pet Otto learns about Rapunzel's trip to the outside world. In a fit of rage, Gothel uses her magical powers to create a tower and locks Rapunzel in the tower. Gothel is also determined to find out who this person Rapunzel has been seeing is. In the meantime, Prince Stefan is frantically searching for Rapunzel ... I won't reveal any more of the story, but there are some interesting twists and turns. The ability to paint your imagination and turn it into reality turns out to be a key element of the plot.

                                Barbie of Swan Lake (2003)

                                        

Obviously based on the classical ballet of the same name, the story concerns a little girl, Shelley, on her summer camp, who can't sleep and wants to go home. Luckily, Barbie is on hand to soothe the fretting child and tell her the story of the girl who became a swan, starring (surprise, surprise) the very same Barbie! The tale is similar to the classical Swan Lake, but Barbified, and features the beautiful villager Odette who chances into an enchanted land where the evil tyrant Rothbart schemes to rule the land. He is aided by his bird brain daughter, the ravenous Odile and opposed by his cousin, the beautiful Fairy Queen. There's a troll with bad breath, a cute unicorn with a cheesy grin (Lila), and of course a handsome prince. There's a host of double dealings, treachery, magical transformations and, being a Barbie show, love triumphs and they all live happy ever after!

                                 Barbie: Fairytopia (2005)

        

Elina is a flower fairy who discovers that her home of Magic Meadow has been overcome by a horrible malady that is killing the flowers and making the fairies unable to fly. With the help of Bibble, a puffball and a giant butterfly named Hue she attempts to find Azura, a Guardian Fairy. She's challenged along the way by the evil Laverna who wants to usurp the Enchantress, the ruler of Fairytopia.

Prince Nalu has been kidnapped by a power-hungry fairy who's looking to cement her status as the most powerful figure in Mermaidia, and it's up to Elina to rescue the prince and thwart the scheming sprite's plan before it's too late in an animated fantasy adventure follow up to the hit Barbie: Fairytopia. Laverna has a plan, and only Prince Nalu can help her realize her dreams of ruling over Mermaidia with absolute authority. The only one in Mermaidia who knows the whereabouts of a special berry with the power to make Laverna even more powerful than the Enchantress is the captive prince. Will Elina reach the devious Laverna in time to save the prince and ensure that the kindly Enchantress maintains her seat of power, or will the land of Mermaidia fall prey to a power-hungry and selfish new leader?
